I came across a request online for music appropriate for a student with R.H. difficulties, and briefly assembled this tonight in response: Lotuses

It teaches students to understand/play:

  • First & second endings
  • Ternary (ABA’) form
  • A calm atmosphere entirely throughout, even with staccato
  • Staccato in one hand with legato in the other
  • Brief left-hand thumb-crossing
  • D Major and its sharps, as read across both hands
